Spring 2012 Inspiration Shoot {Paper Details}
Source Utah Bride Blog
I just had to include this as part of the weekly post because I am so in love with paper details! I believe that they are the “icing on the wedding” that truly makes everything come together and look complete!
“Paper details are a very important aspect of a wedding. When we think of paper details we usually think of just the wedding invitations as something that needs to be designed, but there is so many more items that are easy to do and add a huge affect to the personalization and visuals at your event. Megan with Pink Piggy Design shares some great advice and current trends with us:
“This year we are seeing a lot of brides going for a more modern and informal approach to their invitation designs. Playing with fun color combinations, geometric shapes and flirty fonts is a sure way to get your guests excited to attend your event! Don’t be afraid to try different shapes and unique envelope options. One thing that many brides don’t realize is adding the extra paper details at your event is actually pretty easy to do and not as expensive as you might think! Details such as signage, programs, menus, escort cards and place cards make a huge impact in creating a very unique and personalized touch for your guests. This is also a great way to bring in your colors and fun patterns without being to over the top. If you are using a custom graphic designer for your invitations ask them for pricing for these other items. Since you will have already picked out fonts, colors and designs that you love for your invites it’s very easy for them to carry these details over to the other elements and you will be surprised at how affordable they can be!
If I can give one tip to brides it would be to remember to take one of your invitations with you to your wedding and have your photographer snag a few shots of your invitations so you can have images of them to remember forever… they also make for great detail shots!”” UBB
